The Great Oakley Estate has partnered with The Holkham Estate in Norfolk to sponsor the Big Oardeal, a 3000 mile row across the Atlantic in December 2023 as part of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.  The team will row for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and hope to complete the journey in approximately 35 days with the aim to raise money for causes close to their hearts: Blue Marine Foundation, Cambridge Children’s Hospital, Challenge Wales and Norfolk Community Foundation.

On Monday 18th September the team from The Big Oardeal will be visiting the Thomas Clarkson Academy in Wisbech to meet with the students and  showcase the boat they will using in the challenge, a 28-foot Rannoch 45 rowing boat specially designed for ocean voyages.   For further information about the Big Oardeal, or to make a donation, visit the website at www.the-big-oardeal.com
