Founded in 1873 and set on Lewin Road within the estate, the cricket club is at the heart of village life. On Saturdays, it fields three senior teams, 1sts, 2nds, and 3rds, in the Northamptonshire Cricket League, with a midweek XI on Wednesdays. The junior section is thriving, with two U11s, two U13s, U15s, and U17s teams, and in 2025 the club will launch its first women’s team.
Run entirely by volunteers, the club is about more than cricket. The licensed bar is open 52 weeks a year and hosts social events, fundraisers, and community gatherings, creating a hub of local life. The ground has hosted historic fixtures, including a women’s One-Day International between England and Ireland in 1990, keeping sport and heritage side by side.
