Sheepwash Barn has for many years been a redundant barn near to the Eye Brook Reservoir where the Dambusters perfected the bouncing bomb in WWII. A plaque by the water’s edge references the significance of the reservoir for low level practice prior to the raids on the Mohne and Eder dams in Germany on the night of 16 May 1943.
Tucked into the hillside, work has now begun on the barn to convert it into a luxurious, 6 bedroom house, together with swimming pool, with breathtaking views over the Eye Brook Reservoir. This exciting project will be completed in early April 2024 and will be available as an exclusive holiday home rental.
